Sekolah Seri Cahaya is set amidst the resort living of Kayangan Heights at the back and minutes away from the Cahaya Sanctuary and other greens.

It is situated to the north-west of Kuala Lumpur city, within 20-30 minutes drive from some major residential areas like, Shah Alam, USJ-Subang Jaya, Kota Damansara, Kota Kemuning and the western part of PJ.

Levels of study range from primary to secondary [up to Malaysian O-level] It also caters for pre-school ages of 4 to 6 years old [CEC R.E.A.L Learning Centre] Follows the Government curriculum guidelines for primary[KBSR] and secondary[KBSM] Five-day week starting from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm 2-semesters system with a short break within each semester [follows exactly the government school calendar] Offering 3 public school examinations, viz:

History

Riding on the success of our sister-school, Sekolah Seri Suria in Cheras [then 12 years old] and coupled with the enthusiastic request of parents of our R.E.A.L CEC kindergartens in and around Subang/USJ area, Sekolah Seri Cahaya was established.

1998 March	Commencement of earth works.
1998, Aug 1st	Official launching in Sheraton Hotel, Subang Jaya.
1998, Nov 17th	Open Day at the newly completed East Block.
1999 January	Academic year started with classes ranging from primary 1 to secondary 3. CEC started the following year.
2001 July	An additional West Block was completed. This block housed the secondary school whilst the East Block housed CEC and the Primary sections.
2002 Oct 18th	Accredited with ISO 9001:2000.

Ms Pee Ying Shya- Senior Principal

Ms Pee started her career as a teacher in 1995 after graduating from UKM as a trained teacher. In 1999, she joined Education Ventures as the Head the Science Department of Sekolah Seri Suria [sister school of Sek Seri Cahaya], and in the same year, she took over the academic leadership of the secondary section of Sek Seri Suria.

In 2001, Ms Pee moved to Miri, Sarawak and joined the Curtin University of Technology at the Sarawak campus as the Head of Academic Office working very closely with the CEO of the University. She was involved in the making and implementation of academic policies and accreditation of various courses. She was also the quality assurance officer.

On her return in July 2005, Ms Pee joined Sek Seri Cahaya as the Senior Assistant of the secondary school. In October the same year she assumed Principalship of the secondary school. A year later, she was promoted to be the Senior Principal of the Sek Seri Cahaya.

Ms. Yeow Poh Hong-Principal Primary Section
Diploma in Education

Ms Yeow started her career as a secondary school teacher and has taught in many premier schools in the country. In 1983, she was selected to lecture & train teachers in the Teacher's College.

Prior to joining Sekolah Seri Cahaya in 2000, she has served as a Principal of a government primary school for more than 10 years. With her vast knowledge of the education system in Malaysia and her diversity in previous secondments, Ms Yeow has enriched the school tremendously, especially in areas of academics, child discipline and value system.
